SAB’s annual awards were a stylishly elegant corporate affair held at Tramonto during May 2011. Hop farmers and co-workers bid a hart warming farewell to Gerrie Brits – Hop Breeder & Brewing Legend. Guests were entertained by Garth Taylor and his band into the late hours of the evening! The function was a huge success and we look forward to the next event with SAB. Getting the Dress. Getting the dress is one of the most exciting yet most stressful things about your wedding. There are a hundred things going through your mind, style, colour, to veil or not to veil and now with the royal wedding they added another aspect, not one, not two but three dresses!!! With the new Max Chaoul collection at Tramonto, having a second dress for your reception is made easier, with a few zips and twists your dress can be completely transformed! Having all these questions running through your mind are not particularly pleasant at 2 am so after my personal experience I hope I can lift your load in your journey to finding the perfect dress. Get the ball rolling. Most of us have a very specific idea of what we want to wear, however every style does not compliment every figure type, going for a proper dress fitting is certainly the way to go. You might have a particular dress in mind but after trying on various styles you will more often than not see how many other choices you have, feeling the dress on your skin is much better that focussing on a picture that in the end might not be the best dress choice. Comfort. This one goes a long way. When someone is uncomfortable you can pick it up immediately, the more comfortable, the more in control and confident you will feel. Size. Get your measurements taken and do not go with number size indications. Each design and designer tends to have different size charts and standards. The number in the dress is not applicable, and you do not want to spend half the night pulling up a bodice. Make sure your alterations are done no more than a month in advance. Re-sale value. While others keep the dress, it might be a good idea to re-sell. This way you bless someone that can’t afford the out of the box designer gown and you get some cash back in your pocket too! The Groom. Talk about your style as a couple. There is no point wearing a glamour gown if your groom wants to collar down with sneakers, choose outfits to complement each other and the feel you want to create on your wedding day. Compromise.
